Business Analyst / Project Manager (BA/PM)
We are seeking a BA/PM (hybrid role) to join our growing organisation, based in Jersey. If you have experience of having worked in a business analysis capacity, and/or, have managed the implementation of projects or programmes to successful completion, this role is for you.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
Working on a variety of motivating engagements across a range of industries, including financial services, public sector, telecommunications, government and retail.
Develop a good understanding of our clients which includes a detailed understanding of their business and the culture of the organisation.
Perform analysis, independent research and data collection across varying disciplines (e.g. processes, benefits realisations, root-cause etc) and document findings and recommendations that demonstrates an understanding of our client’s needs.
Careful evaluation of problems and opportunities, developing recommendations and solutions leading to their implementation
Manage the initiation and closure of projects in line with our proven process and best practise methodologies, including the management of resources, budgets, initiating corrective action as required, management of risks and issues.
Excellent communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written to ensure that business partners, stakeholders, management and the clients are confident and informed.
Utilise and enhance the internal knowledge base to ensure the expected quality of service is always received by our clients
Often working as part of a team but sometimes independently, you will contribute not only to the success of our clients but to the evolution of our own products, services and operations.
Must have experience in at least one, preferably two of the following disciplines:
Programme Management Strong Business Analysis background with an in-depth understanding of obtaining detailed requirements and understanding processes.
Project Management experience utilising methodologies such as Prince II or Agile Skills:
Strong analytical skills across requirements gathering, process definition, operational improvement, benefits realisation, strategic, gap and impact analysis.
Excellent communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written
Able to work as part of a team and individually, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills
Experience working within a change delivery environment
Enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who delivers quality and value to clients
Degree level qualification
This should be supplemented by a suitable vocational certificate or similar such as:
APMG Change Management
BCS – Business Analysis
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
Lean Six Sigma (L6S)
Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Five years' Jersey Residency is NOT required for this role and we welcome applications from candidates currently based outside Jersey.
