Favourite Place in the world
This is a tough one. I don't think there are many more brilliant places than London, my birthplace. But Paris has the most special memories for me. I got engaged to my wife after spending the most amazing five days there.
If you could travel back and witness any historical event, which would you choose?
1966 England winning the World Cup, just to feel and witness the pure joy and jubilation of the nation.
If you could invite any three people to dinner, past or present, who would they be?
Steve Jobs, Mahatma Gandhi and Billy Corgan. Steve would provide fascinating insights into innovation and business strategy. Gandhi, so I could learn from his tactile negotiation mastery and Billy Corgan because he is the frontman of my favourite band, The Smashing Pumpkins. Hopefully after dinner Billy and I could play a few tunes together!
What is your dream occupation?
I aspired to be an actor or musician. Being able to get into character and play out the lives of others is something which has always fascinated me. I have a love for the arts and being creative, and what better way than expressing yourself through acting and performing.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I play the guitar and enjoy writing my own songs.
Who is your favourite actor or actress?
Gary Oldman is a very talented actor who can portray such a variety of characters. As Drexel in the film Leon and, more recently, in his portrayal of Winston Churchill, he was in a different class.
Favourite restaurant in the Channel Islands?
Royal Yacht Grill Bar – the best fillet steaks on the island in my opinion!
